THE HOME OF DOG TRAINING IN FALKIRK & WEST LOTHIAN

Why I became a member of ABTC

In the UK dog trainers do not need to have any qualifications. There are different groups and associations which dog trainers can become members off. After months of study and exams I have become a member of the Animal Behaviour & Training Council (ABTC).

To be a member of the ABTC you need to prove that you understand and care about animal welfare. Nothing will change for my clients or in how I train, but it gives you the reassurance that I am accredited and will continue to keep my skills up to date.

As the business name suggests I only use positive training methods. This means using methods that never hurt or scare your dog. Positive methods are proven to be effective, and to build a better bond between you and your dog.

There are lots of courses and qualifications available for dog trainers – but not all of them are equal. I chose the ABTC because they are a very reputable organisation with high standards for their members, and they only allow positive training methods.
